Questions & Answers About Being A Studycast Turn-key InvestigatorBelow are some of the questions frequently asked by physicians about being a Studycast Turn-key Investigator. How do I become a Studycast Turn-key Investigator? Becoming a Studycast Turn-key Investigator is simple. Complete the Studycast Turn-key Investigator registration form in its entirety. We will review your registration application. If you meet all of our criteria, we will contact you regarding an on-site review. Following a successful on-site review, we will enter into a formal written agreement with you and your practice. This process can take as little as a couple of weeks to as long as several months. Can I participate in non-Studycast clinical research studies? No. As a Studycast Turn-key Investigator, your clinical research activities and those of your practice are exclusive to Studycast. Will I incur any direct costs or expenses? No. A separate research corporation will be formed in which you are a minority owner and we are a majority owner. By law, you will be required to pay an extremely nominal amount for your minority equity stake in that research corporation. Studycast will provide all staff. You will also serve as medical director of that research corporation. Of course, you will be required to pay for any ongoing direct training that is required for your participation. Will my practice staff be involved in the studies? No. Generally, all research activities are conducted by experienced, staff provided by or through Studycast. There may be occasions where minor tasks are requested of your practice. Please note that all services provided by your practice will be reimbursed on a fee-for-service basis. Where will the studies be conducted? In general, the studies will be conducted at your practice location unless the protocol requires otherwise. The research corporation will lease space within your practice for a nominal fee. Your compensation comes in three forms.
